Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is included in my hot air balloon flight experience in Dubai? You'll receive: transport to and from the launch site; around an hour's flight; presentation of a certificate to commemorate the occasion; breakfast with choice hot or cold soft drinks. What time of year do balloon flights in Dubai take place? Balloons fly in Dubai from the end of September to the beginning of June. What time of day is the balloon flight? Our balloon flights take place early in the morning during the ballooning season and the times vary during the season depending on the sunrise and weather conditions. Pick up times for a morning flight are usually between 5:00am and 6:00am. Where will we fly from? We fly from several locations in Dubai, some nearer the city and others further out in the dessert depending on weather conditions and wind direction on the day of the flight. All of our locations will give you fantastic, panoramic views! How long does the experience last? Your flight will last for around an hour but you should allow around four hours for the whole experience. How high will we fly? We fly as high as 2,500ft, depending on conditions and airspace restrictions, so you will get an incredible view of the Dubai landscape. What should I wear? We recommend casual outdoor clothes as if you are going for a walk in the country and flat soled shoes or walking boots. It can get quite hot and sunny in the balloon so a hat and sunglasses are also a good idea. Is there an age limit? We have no upper age limit but ballooning is an outdoor, adventure experience so participants need to be physically able to climb in and out of the basket and stand for around an hour. We do not usually fly children who are under five years old and children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Does the weather affect hot air ballooning? Ballooning is a weather dependant activity. We require light winds, no rain and good visibility to be able to fly. Can I give a balloon flight as a gift? Yes! A balloon flight is a wonderful gift for a friend of relative and for any occasion be it Christmas, a birthday or anniversary. Our specially designed gift voucher is ideal to give them on the day and is valid for 12 months so they can take their flight when it is convenient for them.
